E-Mail Me!

My Stuff

I recently upgraded to a

Blackberry 8700g.

Email, cellphone, web

access, and PDA all-in-one.

I love Canon digicams.

I had an S330, then an S230,

now an SD400.  They're solidly

made, they take great pictures,

and they're ultra-portable.

I've gone back to the dark

side.  I once again have an iPod.

This time it's a 60gb iPod Photo.

The Dell Latitude D620

is my current work laptop.

It's a cleanly designed

Centrino Duo machine with

amazing battery

life and a nice screen.

My home laptop is a

15" Apple MacBook Pro

dual-booting both Mac OS X

and Windows XP.  Hooray for

Boot Camp!

I recently upgraded to a 20"

Dell 2001fp LCD.  It has great

image quality, and convenient

USB ports on the side.

My current PC is

a P4 system based on an Intel

D915GAG motherboard in an Antec

Sonata II case.  200gb Seagate

SATA hard drive, nVidia GeForce

6600GT video card, SB Live 5.1,

and NEC DVD-RW drive.

Just like with digicams,

I like Canon inkjet printers. My

i860 is quiet, fast, and produces

first-class color prints.

Not much to say here.

If you're an aviation enthusiast

and you have a fast PC,

go buy FS2004 now.

If you get hooked on

flight sims like I did, you'll want

a good flight controller.  The

CH Products Flight Sim Yoke USB

is probably the best all-around

flight controller out there.

It ain't cheap, though....

According to this site, this is what I would look like as a South Park character. Note the version with the iPod and reading material.

Ahh, baseball. I spent the day doing a lot of nothing, but playing quite a bit of MLB for the PSP. The game I just finished was a 5-2 win by my Mariners over the Florida Marlins. It was a nailbiter all the way.

Jamie Moyer was pitching, and while he struck out 9, he did give up a pair of solo home runs, one to Miguel Cabrera and one to Mike Lowell. Those came in the first and second innings, respectively, so I was trailing 2-0 for most of the game. I did get a run back in the 6th on a Richie Sexson home run, but I really didn't have many base runners against the Marlins' Al Leiter. After giving up the homers, Moyer pitched great for 6 innings. I lifted him in the 7th for a pinch hitter, and brought J.J. Putz in from the bullpen. He pitched the 7th and 8th, allowing only one hit.

In the top of the 9th, with one out, Pokey Reese flared a single to right field. The pitcher's spot was up next, so I pinch-hit with Raul Ibanez, who whacked a single into right-center, sending Reese to 3rd. Runners on 1st and 3rd, with one out, and Ichiro was batting against Guillermo Mota, who was throwing mostly fastballs. I tried a squeeze bunt, and worked to perfection, turning into a bunt single for Ichiro. Game tied, 2-2, runners at first and second, and only one out still. Randy Winn was next, and he struck out on three pitches. That brought up Adrian Beltre, who had missed a home run to the right of the right-field foul pole early in the game, and missed one to the left of the left-field foul pole mid-way through. This time, he caught up to a Mota fastball, and drove it over the wall in left to give the M's a 5-2 lead. It was too late to start warming up my closer, Eddie Guardado, but I did have lefty Ron Villone warm in the pen. After Richie Sexson bounced out, it was on to the bottom of the 9th.

I brought Villone in, with the Marlins sending Lowell, LoDuca, and Conine to the plate. It wasn't the ideal matchup, but Villone has been very effective for me when throwing cut fastballs down and away to right-handed hitters. Anyway, it was a 1-2-3 ninth, and another exciting win.

Hooray for baseball!

Here's a sadly amusing collection of stupid quotes about Hurricane Katrina.
