My Stuff

I recently upgraded to a

Blackberry 8700g.

Email, cellphone, web

access, and PDA all-in-one.

I love Canon digicams.

I had an S330, then an S230,

now an SD400.  They're solidly

made, they take great pictures,

and they're ultra-portable.

I've gone back to the dark

side.  I once again have an iPod.

This time it's a 60gb iPod Photo.

The Dell Latitude D620

is my current work laptop.

It's a cleanly designed

Centrino Duo machine with

amazing battery

life and a nice screen.

My home laptop is a

15" Apple MacBook Pro

dual-booting both Mac OS X

and Windows XP.  Hooray for

Boot Camp!

I recently upgraded to a 20"

Dell 2001fp LCD.  It has great

image quality, and convenient

USB ports on the side.

My current PC is

a P4 system based on an Intel

D915GAG motherboard in an Antec

Sonata II case.  200gb Seagate

SATA hard drive, nVidia GeForce

6600GT video card, SB Live 5.1,

and NEC DVD-RW drive.

Just like with digicams,

I like Canon inkjet printers. My

i860 is quiet, fast, and produces

first-class color prints.

Not much to say here.

If you're an aviation enthusiast

and you have a fast PC,

go buy FS2004 now.

If you get hooked on

flight sims like I did, you'll want

a good flight controller.  The

CH Products Flight Sim Yoke USB

is probably the best all-around

flight controller out there.

It ain't cheap, though....

It's early afternoon on my first full day in Tokyo. I just had a big lunch
of sushi, and now I'm going to walk around the parks and gardens at Shinjuku
Koen.

The flight yesterday was good, and the trip from Narita Airport into Tokyo
was simple as usual. I got to Ryokan Andon around 6pm, and I was relaxing
in the hot tub at 6:30pm. I was asleep by 8:30pm, and awake around 4:30am
this morning. After a big breakfast, I went and walked around near the
Imperial Gardens and Tokyo Station. I headed for Yodobashi Camera to shop
for gadgets and accessories, and spent the whole morning there until
lunchtime. There's a very nice, very large food court up on the 8th floor
of the Yodobashi Camera building, and it's often difficult to decide what to
eat because everything looks good. I chose sushi, and ate here:

I had 6 different little plates of sushi, all for about 1000 yen (10 bucks).
Not bad. I came back to Andon to drop off my jacket (it's in the 70s
today), and rest for a few minutes before heading back out. Oh, gadgets and
accessories. I bought padded netbook sleeves for myself and my mother, some
cord winder-upper thingies, and a wind-up bullet train for The Little Dude.
Having a child makes toy stores interesting again.. Oh, and I bought a
figurine of a Yomiuri Giants baseball player from a 200 yen capsule vending
machine. He he he. Hooray for vending machines! Sadly, the vending machine
a few blocks from my hotel, which used to contain Mountain Dew, no longer
has that selection. No fair.

Alrighty then, off to Tokyo and Taiwan.
